Haus Fahrenkamp

Conversion and renovation of Haus in Wuppertal-Elberfeld.

The former department store building in downtown Wuppertal was constructed by Emil Fahrenkamp between 1929 and 1930. As part of the construction project, the old ceiling structures were renovated to meet structural fire safety requirements.
The renovation also includes changes of use for the first basement level and the third to fifth floors. The Haus is a winner of the BDA Wuppertal 2014 award for good buildings and has been honored with a commendation.
