Expert procedure for the Müller-Erben Segelfliegerdamm 1-45 site in Berlin Adlershof
The design idea is based on clearly delineated usage typologies. A central green ribbon runs through the entire district, separating the commercial and residential areas, but nevertheless interweaving them. The preservation of the valuable tree population was a particular concern.
The development concept is a formulation of clear structures. Public, semi-public and private areas merge into one another. The result is an urban composition of courtyards, squares that can be used in different ways and pathways. The existing cooling tower in the center of the commercial area is integrated into a square with a high amenity value.
