New construction of the Embassy building of the French Republic in Berlin-Mitte.
Design: Atelier de Christian de Portzamparc.
In addition to the ambassador's residence, the diplomatic chancellery and the consulate, the building is home to a number of official French institutions and services. The diverse functions of Embassy were housed in different buildings. The "Rue de France" leads as an inner connection roofed through the entire Petit Quartier from the Pariser Platz to the Wilhelmstraße. Two inner courtyards, the Ehrenhof planted with grass and deciduous trees and the Hochpromenade, complete the ensemble.

The narrow specifications of the design statutes on Pariser Platz are interpreted and implemented with a base storey of processed exposed concrete, Béton éclaté, and a Bel Etage with two-storey window formats.
